1SE: April 2020

This was officially the longest and most painful month EVER.  Not really leaving the house, not having school, not doing anything 'normal' that we're use to has really started to take a toll.  I am terrified for the repercussions of all of the 'stay home' orders because I think there will be a serious mental health crisis that emerges.  We are struggling over here.  And we see glimmers of hope on the horizon that things may be starting to lift and open up in May, and I'm hoping and praying that happens. WE NEED TO GET OUT.  And even if it's just little trips here and there...this current April lifestyle is not sustainable at all.

So, with that said, April is done.  We're 1/3rd of the way done with 2020 and I'm like THAT'S IT?!?!? This past month went on for 543 days...not 30.  It was a tough one.  Lots of tears and screams and stressors.  But we did get more family time in than EVER and I am super grateful for that.  But the kids miss their friends so much.  And school.  And their activities outside of our house.  And my heart hurts for them and all of the other kiddos out there with everything they're missing.

And, while I've got you here, here's 121 days of 2020 for my #MooneyGrateful366 project.  Lots and lots of at home pics lately....hopefully we'll be able to get out and about as the summer comes oh so soon!

Here's to April -- so not upset to see you go!  May: let's hope you bring lots of great things...and maybe some adventures that aren't inside our house!

5 Going On 15

Rosie is indeed 5...going on 15.

She got a homestyle haircut late last week and then her new romper (from Old Navy! so cute!) came and soooooooooo we had to pop outside for a few snaps to show them off.

We stayed mostly in the shade during these high noon pics...which turned out SO CUTE on the path!  Golly she really does look way older than her young five years, doesn't she?!??!

I think snapped some very intense sun pics too, which I usually detest snapping at this time of the day (so many harsh shadows and sun!) but I'm actually digging how these turned out!

Clearly am reallllllly missing snapping.  Hahaha!

Anyways, cheers to my little 5 year old...and a week from now I'll be in major denial that my oldest is SEVEN!!! How the heck did that happen!?!?

Have a great weekend my friends!

I need to give a dedicated blog post to one of my new most favorite small shops,

I ADORE this shop so much and I am so glad I had a friend send me their way.  This sweet mama lost her son just a few days after birth and now dedicates her time to making the sweetest, most wonderful heirloom items to honor her little guy Wells.

So many of her pieces revolve around rainbow babies and the theme of 'loved by an angel' -- and all of her pieces just speak to me SO MUCH for our little rainbow babe Ted and his big brother Clark in heaven.

Back in February I posted some pics of Teddy and Patrick and Teddy was wearing one of his rainbow onesies in those pics...welp, I recently got her new rainbow onesie and joggers and just HAD to get some pics of Ted sporting those too!

Sorry for that photo dump...and I'm SO BIASED, but dammit he's cute!

We took a few naked baby pics too...and I couldn't not include those too for ya :)

Anyways, definitely give this shop a peek if you're looking for a gift for a rainbow babe or mama -- or any little one who is loved by an angel.  I think you'll be so impressed with what she offers.

Quarantine Diaries - Photo Dump

We've been doing a whole lotta nothing lately.

We are so bored.

Grateful we're healthy, but dammit. We miss doing things. SO MUCH.  And I am so so so hopeful next month brings some of those back to us...especially for me and my career.  I miss taking pictures SO MUCH!!

With that said, I've been trying to get my big camera out as much as I can to snap pics of the kiddos and such during our days in quarantine.

Now it's infinitely easier to just use my iPhone...but I've been challenging myself to really try and use my big camera as much as I can.

So, lucky you!  You've got a gigantically massive photo dump comin' your way today!  So exciting, isn't it?!

First up, Rosie's new Scooter!  We had a traumatic accident with her trusty Scooter she's had for 3 years last weekend so I splurged and got her a Micro Kickboard one and I think she's pretty jazzed about it.

And then since I had my camera out, the rest of the fam benefited from some snaps...including maybe my new favorite pics of Mike and Ted.

Gosh.  So darn cute.  Also so ready to ditch the hats and coats soon too. IT SHOULD BE WARMER THAN THIS!

One night last week it was warm enough to have some ice cream that we did!

And then Ted and Mike got some snaps too -- no ice cream for either of them (yet. haha!). ALSO! Ted was not amused by

Definitely wasn't feeling the bubbles this night. haha!

The past couple of days it's been cold and wet (UGH!) so we've been inside.  Ted's new rainbow onesie from these guys came and duh. We had to get some snaps with it!

Probably too many snaps. OHHH WELLLLLL YOLO.  He's so darn chunky and adorable!

Then naturally we took some mirror selfies too and Ted was super interested in the buttons on my camera.

And that, my friends, is it.  I think I'm all caught up with you on my big camera quarantine snaps.  There WILL be more to come, oh I promise.  But hopefully SOON (I'm hoping and praying their mid-may predictions are right!) things will start loosening and I'll get to be back out there snapping! Oh how tightly my fingers are crossed for that!

Stay safe and healthy out there my friends!
