Annie is Potty Trained!

You read that right.

Annie is officially potty trained!  And dear lord she was the easiest Mooney EVER to do this.  And I thought both Patrick and Rosie were but nope, Annie wins!

I was going to tackle this at Christmas, have Santa take her diapers back to the North Pole...but Thanksgiving weekend rolled around and I realized that we had nothing to do (minus some photo shoots for me) and the big kids were at the lake and IT WAS TIME.  So off went the diapers and on went the undies!  At first, Annie was a bit reluctant, but quickly (and I mean QUICKLYYYY) she decided WOW.  Going on the potty is easy and fun and let's do this!

And truly, that was it.  Honestly.  It took her a few times going on the potty for it to click and now she is completely potty trained.  She's had in the past 2 weeks since we ditched the diapers (still wearing them at night) just a few pee accidents and one poop accident (which was at school), but other than that all pee and poop has been in the potty!  I'm so shocked with how easily she's going (and initiating going on her own too!) -- but especially with #2.  I feel like getting that down took the older kids a bit longer to get the hang of.  Not Annie.  Man, she's got that down soooooo well!  Heck, her first time actually going on the potty she pooped too!!

I mean, I hate saying this for feeling like I'm going to jinx it, but this has really been soooo easy and truly seamless.  I'm a big proponent of waiting till kids are ready (which usually is closer to 3 for my kiddos) and them cutting off the diapers at once and BAM.  Just so easy.  And I'm praying Teddy goes the same route as his big siblings in a few years when it's time!

Anyways, short and sweet little life update that our Annie girl is potty trained!  Man, it feels SO GOOD to just have one kiddo in diapers now!  WOOT!!!  The end of our diapering days is in sight...kind of.  Haha!  At least we know Teddy is the last kiddo in them! :)

Clark Came to Play

The past few days it's been unseasonably warm here -- in the high 50s!  While it's suppose to get cold again next week, we've been taking big time advantage of it and getting some outside playtime in after school (for like the hour that there is light once everyone gets home!).

On Wednesday, before the girls went to dance, we decided to clean up the yard a bit to setup the Christmas blow ups.  It was so nice out I brought Teddy out too and was holding him, and snapping pics and videos of the big kids as they played.

I posted in my Instagram stories some of these pictures and videos, and got like 15 replies about the orb that was in every.single.one.of.them.  I went back and flipped through the pics and videos I took and sure enough, there was a dancing orb in ALL OF THEM!

Isn't that crazy?! It's like it was playing with them!!

I am absolutely convinced it was Clark -- I swear I see him always through orbs and sun flares already -- and he came to play with his family on a warm day!  I could look at these pics and videos ALL OF THE TIME and it makes me so happy that our Clark was nearby and enjoying playing with his siblings.

Anyways, just wanted to share this little Clark sighting with you!  We miss him SO SO SO much. especially during the holidays, so it's always so special to see little parts of him here and there with our family.  We know he's watching over us every single day, and when we see things like this it just makes us really see that he TRULY is.

Teddy at 1 Month

In MASSIVE DENIAL that here we are -- one month in. Teddy is officially ONE MONTH OLD today and I cannot CANNOT freaking believe it!!  I swear I just had him yesterday.  It seriously is flying by...and I know I said this would happen in my bumpdates and yep.  It totally is.

I am doing weekly snaps of Teddy just like I did with Annie so those have been fun to capture...cannot believe he was 4 weeks old on Monday! INSANE!

I LOOOOVE the rainbow backdrop for his weekly snaps!  And doing just a cloth diaper too (I think I have 52 different ones so no repeats?! haha we'll see!) so we can see how deliciously chunky he gets this next year!  But boy does he EVER look like Patrick! HAHA!

And for his monthly pics the amazing Swanky Shank made these custom monthly onesies for him (no monthly sticker to rip off as he gets older WOOT!) and they are just PERFECT!

Okay!  So mom stats!  We don't go for his 1 month checkup until next week so just some mom stats to hold you over until then :)

  • Teddy weighs 10 pounds even (haha Patrick's weight at birth!) and no clue on length, probably around 21 or 21.5 inches or so would be my guess.  He's still in a few newborn outfits but mostly in 0-3 month clothes.  3 month size are still HUGE on him.  And definitely needs to go into size 1 disposables when we use those but we're trying to use up the last of the newborn disposables we have before moving up.
  • He sleeps ALLLLL DAY LONG.  Which I couldn't remember the other ones doing but reading over Annie's 1 month post sure looks like she did that too which now makes me feel better.  I do feel like he's got more awake time now than he did a few weeks ago, but seriously, dude is OUT all of the time!
  • Speaking of sleep, just like all 3 of his big siblings, he likes to sleep flat on his back (in his bassinet) with his arms out and bottom half swaddled up in a blanket.  We tried completely swaddling him like he was in the NICU for a few days and NOPE.  Sleeps better having those arms flying free!
  • As far as sleep goes, he gives us usually a good 3ish hour stretch before waking up to eat again.  So usually I head to bed around 10pm, Mike feeds him his one bottle of the day, and he's up again to eat around 1am and 4am before everyone gets up at 7am...so usually I'm waking up twice a night, which really isn't bad. I don't feel tired or sleep deprived AT ALL.  He eats for about 10ish minutes or so then back to bed!
  • Is an excellent nurser.  No issues there -- clearly gaining weight and is an efficient eater eating pretty fast!  Will take a bottle from dad and PRAYING that keeps up.  Trying to give him one a day to make sure he doesn't stop taking them.
  • Teddy is a GRUNTER!  And looking back at his sisters' posts, they were too!  So this is not surprising.  Annie got booted from our room at like 2 weeks old and I'd do the same with Teddy but his room he'll share with Patrick and I can't do that to him yet.  Haha!  I have learned to tune out his grunts so that helps.  But man, that kid is loud!
  • Ted is a SUPER CHILL baby.  Rarely cries (just grunts a lot. haha!) and just is so content and happy.  Reminds me very much of the bigger kids and their demeanors!
  • Is a snuggly little guy and loves to be held!  Which I'm not complaining -- I could snuggle with him allll day long!  His big brother and sisters are just obsessed with him and it makes my mama heart so happy to see them loving up on their little brother so much!
  • Is having his ear reshaped.  His right ear was all wonky and folded (probably from having his hand on it in utero) and we decided to go get it straightened out...so for the past week he's had a mold in it and it taped down to hopefully straighten it out!  It comes off Monday so we'll see if he needs to have another one put on or if this one did the job!
  • Takes a pacifier!  OMG.  This is huge.  I tried with the other 3 SO HARD and nope.  None of them would take it.  All are thumb suckers.  But Teddy, he's got the paci thing down!  Probably from them pushing it in the NICU but yeah, super nice to have him take that.  He doesn't need it a lot, because like I said he's super chill, but it's nice to be able to give it to him if he needs it.
  • Has some nicknames already!  Clearly Teddy, but also Ted, Tedward (the big kids love calling him this), Teddy Bear, Ted Man, and mister Theodore are just a few we've called him.
  • Is pretty much Patrick's clone which is CRAZY cause I feel like the girls looked NOTHING alike but man, Teddy looks SO MUCH like Patrick did as a baby it's crazy!  And awesome.  It's like 6.5 year old Patrick is holding himself as a baby!!
So that's about all of the fun facts at 1 month for Ted Man I can think of!! And for your viewing pleasure, some comparison snaps!  Teddy just born and at one month...

And my favorite, all my with us now Mooney babes at 1 month old!  GAH!

That's about all I've got for his one month update...I'll have another funsie little one after his checkup next week.  Oh Ted, we love you SO MUCH dude!  Please stop growing so fast though and let us savor this last baby goodness forever and ever!!  Until 2 months, adios!

Patrick never got monthly blogged till 9 months. Oops.

1SE: November 2019

This was arguably the best month of 2019...I mean, we got to spend nearly the entire month with our sweet little Teddy Bear!  What could beat that?!?!?

I cannot CANNOT believe we are just a month away from wrapping up 2019 and welcoming in 2020 (and a new decade! AH!).  2018 was such a tough one...looking back on last year's post and my oh my how different things are this year.  Still missing our Clark man something fierce, but we have our little rainbow here with us that we know Clark hand picked for us to join and complete our family as he watches over us from above.

And I really REALLY need to think of a theme for 2020...it'll be my FIFTH year doing a 365 (or 366 since #leapyear next year!) project and I need to come up with something doable...and maybe different from what I've done in the past?!  I do know they'll be square pics (cause those fit nicer in my collage...see below for the first 11 months of this year!) but other than that I'm stuckkkkk. So I need to get on the creative train and come up with something...soon!  HAHA!

November: you're gonna be a hard month to beat!  But I have high hopes for December and how this year is gonna end up...so BRING IT!  So excited to see how 2019 wraps up :)

Cops Love Donuts

I've done this same pic with Rosie, Annie and now Teddy and I felt like it deserved its own blog post.

Honestly I went back to 2017 and 2015 to try and find the pic/post from Rosie and Annie's and I either didn't look hard enough (probably it) but I couldn't find it and that's shocking to me cause I feel like back then I did an even better job of blogging EVERYTHINGGGG. haha. Oh well!

Anyhoo, last night was Mike's first night back (in a row...like 8 nights in a row to come. boo hiss.) and Teddy slept okayyyyyish (I mean, he's a newborn...who hasn't even hit his due date yet so I feel like he's just extra sleepy but never more than an hour or two at a time before he's stirring again. And I AM NOT COMPLAINING. I know how fast this stage goes and the up all the time doesn't last...just making a note per the last kid documentation :).  I asked Mike to get donuts overnight so I could recreate this picture with Teddy in the morning...and neither boy disappointed.

Gahhhhh! How cute is his little grin?!?!?  Seriously.  Adorable.  Rosie was just behind him giggling the whole time and asking if she could have a donut now. HAHA!

We obviously took a few shots but ^^^ that one was my fave...

Goodness I could just eat him up!  He was pretty darn cooperative for not having a boob in his mouth as soon as he woke up. haha!

And, for good comparison measure, here's the girls and Teddy all around 3 weeks old in this signature pic.  Enjoy.

Happy Faturday friends! Hope you had a great one!  I'm officially BACK TO WORK tomorrow morning!! Got a newborn session bright and early at 9am! EEKKKKK!! Wish me luck!  Cannot believe this dude is going to be 3 weeks old on Monday!  Goodness gracious it has FLOWN BY!

Snap Happy

Since Teddy was born I've had a bit of down time with my camera.  After the insanity of the fall and million billion shoots I feel like I had, the past few weeks have been SO SLOOOOOOW for me (camera wise!).  I've snapped a few pics here and there, but truly feel like I've relied on my iPhone for photos and that's been it!  And you know what?! It's been okay...but dang nabit I've missed snapping with my big camera SO MUCH!  -- Which I hope I don't eat my words come next week cause minus births I'm back snapping full time again!!

Anyways, this past week I decided to pick up my camera again because we NEEDED a family pic for our Christmas card with all of us in it AND Teddy has a few outfits that I know he's going to grow out of instantly that I need to get pics of him in before he does that!

So we snuck outside one afternoon after school before it got too dark (GOSH I HATE YOU DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!) and we did a few family pics and kid pics.  I just love them.  Perfectly showcases the chaos and such we are going through right now...and we did get a good pic of all 6 of us for our Christmas card too so yay for that ;-)

PS - I totally cheaped out this year and 1. designed our own Christmas card and 2. put the Christmas card on one side and Teddy's birth announcement on the other to save some moo-la and not have to send 2 different cards this time of the year.  Cheap?!  Yes.  But smart too.

Anyways, this outfit below I got from here and was one of the first things I purchased for Clark.  He never got to wear it, but instead of filing it away (like I did with a few things that I bought JUST for him that I didn't want to recycle to another kiddo because they were HIS) I kept it for this next babe to wear when they were born.  I had ideas of hospital pics for this little kimono robe/onesie, but since he was in the NICU that didn't happen...so decided to bust it out today to get a few pics of him in it before he outgrew it.

Gosh he's so darn cute.  I am just obsessed with him...and those tiny tootsies!!  I then had the idea to put him next to my camera (so I had to get my backup camera out to snap this one!) in his camera outfit and I am just LOOOOOVING how it turned out!

Golly he is just the sweetest!  Then I snapped a few pics of him on the rug we were sent last year and I kinda am obsessed with these too.

Basically, I am just completely obsessed with our little Teddy Bear. HAHA!  But he was so good for our little impromptu photo shoot and I will cherish these pics (and our family ones too!) forever and forever!!!
