21 Weeks 🌈

Don't you worry: it's been on my mind ALL WEEKEND LONG that my 21 week post with Clark was my last weekly post, as he arrived at 21w6d.  To say that hasn't been at the forefront of my mind recently would be a lie.  I want nothing more than for this babe growing in my belly to KEEP GROWING, for another 16 weeks, and we get to meet him/her all healthy and screaming on November 4th.

But it is SO HARD to put out of my mind what we went through at this exact stage with Clark last fall.  And I'm not sure if a week from now getting to 22 weeks, a point we never reached with Clark, will feel 'relief' or like 'okay, made it farther than with him, things will be okay' or if I'll continue to just have anxiety like crazy.  I'm sure it'll be the anxiety part.  And I'll be here to tell you allllll about it. HAHA!

Still on the boy train this week...I just feel SO BIG and I know I was huge with Clark (he was very fluidy though) I just have a feeling this kiddo is a boy now, even though so much pointed to a girl.  Mike and I are still completely at a loss for agreement on any sort of boy or girl names, so that's been fun.  HAHA!

I had to share this pic...one of my good buddies is due RIGHT before me (and chances are we'll have our babies just a day apart if our scheduled c-sections go as planned!) but she hasn't announced yet but we took a super cute bump pic the other night sooooooo I shared it anyways!  As soon as she announces I'll post the real pic.

Okay!  That's about all I've got...still feeling good, nausea is completely gone (and oh boy is the hunger and intense cravings for things RIGHT NOW set it!) and I'm not uncomfortable by any means YET but I feel like I'm getting there.  Dr. Jen is out of town this week (boo hiss) so I see the nurse practitioner on Thursday and then Dr. Paul and another big anatomy scan next Monday at 22 weeks.  Excited to see this kiddo on the screen again!  Hate to say I'm wishing the time away...but I AM.  Come on November!  Get here soooooon! Until 22 weeks friends, adios!

Ears Pierced!!

Today was a big day.

The girls got their ears pierced!!! EEKKKKK!!

Now, Rosie has been asking for a while but the couple times before we've gone she's backed out...and that's fine.  Wasn't going to force this on her.

Welp, when we started chatting about getting her haircut (SO NEEDED.) I asked if she wanted to get her ears pierced too and before she could even answer Annie said, "I get my ears pierced!!" -- and that was the end of that.  Immediately Rosie wanted hers then too and Annie KEPT SAYING she wanted to get them done!

So we made plans to get Rosie's hair cut (like 5 inches!!) and then IF they were still both willing to get their ears pierced afterwards once Rosie was done with camp and we had a free morning.  My mom tagged along with us too!

Ro got SO MUCH HAIR chopped off and it instantly aged her -- but darn it she looked so cute!  And then it was time for the earrings...

Both were still willing, Annie the most, and picked out their earrings and got their ears cleaned off.  I could sense Rosie was starting to get reluctant, so Annie said she wanted to go first.  Rosie saw a mermaid and I told her if she got her ears done she could pick one out for her and Annie.  DONE.  That sold her!

Annie got hers pierced (she picked white flowers with a blue center) and shed just a few tears afterwards but stopped pretty quick once she saw her new mermaid.

And then it was Rosie's turn!  I don't think Rosie saw Annie cry (thank goodness) and she sat right down and it was over before they even started it seemed like!  She did SO GOOD!

They both did SO WELL and I was SO SO SO proud of them for going through with it!  I admit, I was skeptical and thought they'd flake again but nope!  Proved mom here wrong!!!

Annie was being her typical smile limiting self, but she talked the whole way home about how pretty her ears were now that they were pierced.  We called a few people (daddy included) on the way home to tell them about their exciting morning!

Clearly they both loved their mermaid (bribe??!) too.

We then went to Raising Canes for lunch with NeeNee...which the girls loved.  They loved talking all about their earrings and Rosie's new haircut!

We then did a quick stop at the grocery store (for cookies. duh. haha or more like milk since we were almost out!) before heading home for naps.

Rosie wanted to have a mini photo shoot in the bathroom before her nap and who am I to deny her that?!?!

Annie passed right out with zero ear issues...so yay for that!

I am SO PROUD of them for going through with this and they both just look so gorgeous with their new earrings!  Here's hoping we all take good care of them and keep them clean and no infections happen (fingers crossed!).

All in all, a great Friday morning and wonderful start to our weekend!  Have a good one friends!!

20 Weeks 🌈

Okie dokie, you all got a mid-week update last week after my 19w2d anatomy scan, so this post really doesn't have anything super duper exciting in it...other than we hit 20 weeks! WOOT!

And, big thing happened last Friday: Dr. Jen's office called and my c-section has been officially set for November 4th!  I'll be 37 weeks exactly and I am SO EXCITED to have that set and in my sights!  Over halfway done...and just 17 weeks to go from today! WOOOOOOT!!

So I have definitely been feeling this kiddo more and more the past few days which is SUCH a welcomed feeling, because I so remember at this point with Clark not feeling anything and hoping and praying I'd get to feel him move before he was born (I don't think I ever did...such a ugh feeling and memory). At 19w2d with Clark is where we got the worst news of our lives, and I am so glad this kiddo wasn't a repeat of that.  I truly feel like Clark is keeping a close watch over this little one for us :) Because as soon as I posted this update I saw the biggest rainbow outside that night and I am CONVINCED it was Clark smiling down on us and his new sibling he hand-picked for us.

Other than that, feeling pretty good, just BIG!  Haha!  Still surreal that we are over halfway done cooking this kid and in less than 4 months...just 6 days after Clark's 1st birthday we'll meet this kiddo!  I CANNOT CANNOT WAIT.

Welp friends, that's all I've got for 20 weeks!  Until 21, adios!!!

4th Festivities

I was looking back at last year's 4th of July post and it's very similar to this year's -- 3 kiddos, pregnant with another one, super hot, yet lots and lots of family fun!  This year was tough though cause we were missing Clark...another holiday without him.  I don't think that'll ever get easier.  And it just sucks.  Ugh.

Mike surprised us the morning of the 4th with donuts!  The kids favorite.

After we scarfed down our festive themed donuts, we got the kiddos ready for the neighborhood parade!  Now usually I'm on the ball with coordinating outfits and bike/scooter decorations but I totally dropped said ball this year and yeah, life's been busy.  Sooooo, this is what we got:

Which I think still turned out cute!!!  Mike and I snuck in for a few pics with the kiddos too...we couldn't coordinate (nor had time!) to try and do a whole family timer-taken picture. haha

It.was.hot.  I was super sweaty.  I was not in the picture taking mood (truly!) so I don't have very many pics of the actual parade or festivities afterwards.  Oops.  It was just so icky out!  But the kids had a blast (we did too!) so that's all that matters, right?! RIGHT.

I did manage to remember to snap a pic with my buddy Robyn -- we always steal a pic together on the 4th so we had to keep the tradition going this year!

When we got home Mike went to siesta land and the kiddos and I played for a bit before heading out to lunch.  They made up a new game (that is maybe my new favorite. haha!) called "the sleeping game" and it was hysterical.  They just kept pretending to sleep!

Golly they are so funny!

Uncle Ben asked us to go to lunch and since IMOS was closed (boo hiss!) we hit up the next best (and closest) pizza place, MOD!

Everyone clearly loved it.

Patrick then went with Uncle Ben to a movie and the girls and I went home for naps!  It felt glorious.

When the girls got up E.T. was on and Annie was OBSESSED.

It was the cutest thing ever.

We then ate some delicious hot dogs for dinner and then headed off to a pre-fireworks party before heading to the park for the big show!

The kids had a blast running around with their cousins and just being silly.  Annie's hair was amazingly curly in the humid air and it was just the sweetest thing I ever did see.

When we got to the park it was unusually empty...I think the threat of thunderstorms kept people away.  But it never did rain so it ended up being the perfect evening cause the humidity seemed to have broken and the sun wasn't blaring down!

The kids are at an age where we don't have to watch/follow them an inch away so they loved running around and dancing and playing while the music played.

I showed Rosie this throwback video of her from 2017...

...and I was like "you need to recreate this."

DONE.  She succeeded.  Her little booty shakin' dance videos are officially my favorite thing ever.

Yeah.  So freaking cute.

Eventually the kids were getting restless (2 hours of dancing can only hold their attention for SO long. haha!!) and this happened:

HAHA!  FINALLLLLLLY, after a super pretty sunset...

...it was fireworks time! WOOT!

Each kid firmly had one of our laps to sit in for pics and they just LOVED the show.  It got over about 10pm (SO LATE!!) and we had to haul it back to the car to get home so Mike could get to work and the kids could get to sleep.

This morning the kids got up when Mike got home and made me pancakes which was such a perfect treat! I feel so dead today (haha I am so out of shape!) but having those special Reese's Piece pancakes this morning was the perfect start to our day!  I've got a busy weekend of picture-taking and I'm looking forward to it after a couple of days without!

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!  Have a wonderful weekend friends!!!
