1SE: April 2018

Another month has come and gone (holy cats, we are 1/3rd of the way done with 2018!! WHERE OH WHERE IS THIS TIME GOING?!?!?)  And I've got another one second everyday video for you from the month of April!

I really am proud of myself for sticking with this and doing these short little videos every single day!  I'm trying to remember to flip my phone over and record horizontally so they don't have the black lines on either side from vertical videos, but dang nabit it's hard sometimes cause it's just easier to record that way!  Haha!

Anyways, yay for another month come and gone and another month of memories!  Oh, and since I've got you here, today is day 120 of 2018 so naturally I had to do a nice fitting 120 pic collage of my #mooneycandid365 for ya too.  Enjoy!

Here's to a great 1/3 of 2018 thus far and an even more amazing 2/3 left to come! WOOT!  Happy {almost} May friends!!

Annie at 15 Months

I seriously CANNOT believe Annie girl is 15 months old.  I swear SWEAR I was just penning her 12 month post and now here we are, 3 months later that have whizzed by in an instant, penning her 15 month post! GAHHH! TOO FAST!

Welp, just like I did with the big 2, I am back at 15 months giving you all a little update on our sweet Annie.  As you can see, she's growing pretty darn good and had a superb checkup at the doc for her 15 months of life.

A few couple later I'm here sharing a bit of an update as to what she's up to currently at 15 months old.  Oodles of mom stats coming your way, aren't you excited??!!

  • Annie weighs 24 pounds (and 0.4 ounces, that's important!!)...petite little Mooney she is!
  • Annie stands 30.5 inches tall...you know, when she actually decides to STAND UP. Ha!
  • Annie wears mostly 18 month and 18-24 month clothes.  She is shockingly in age-appropriate clothes and is the first Mooney kid to do this!  My little peanut!!
  • Not walking yet -- I really thought she'd be walking by 15 months but once again I know nothing 3 kids in and she is not!  She will walk behind things and push her walker here and there, but nothing super consistent.  She'll hold your hands and walk a bit too but mostly she flops down and wants to crawl!  Kinda reminds me of Rosie! Haha!
  • Annie will pull up and stand if she's holding onto something.  A few times recently we've seen her let go and free stand for about .2 seconds before she realizes what she's doing and flops back down on the floor!  haha!  I'm sure she'll get it soon. Maybe. :)
  • She doesn't really get into much, she loves to explore and crawl around but is content a lot playing with a toy or two that she finds or with her big brother and sister.  She is quiet though and will take off and go exploring without you even knowing it because she's sneaky and so silent!  She does like making a bee-line to the crayons and eating those (oh lord!) but she is so quiet about it you have no idea what she's getting into!!
  • Girlfriend has four top front teeth, two back molars have popped through, bottom two molars have JUST BARELY popped through, and three bottom teeth with *I think* that final fourth bottom tooth looking like it's about to pop through soon!  So 11 teeth total!  Definitely the slowest of all of the kiddos in the tooth growing game it seems.
  • Annie talks SO MUCH.  You cannot understand 98% of what she says, but she babbles and talks nonstop!  Definitely the most verbal at this stage of the three and I bet she won't ever shut up from here on out, whether we can understand her or not! HAHA!
  • Still holds the title for best sleeper.  She is a rockstar sleeper, still snoozing about 13 hours every night and a solid 2-3 hour nap after lunch.  Gosh I hope she always stays this way!
  • Is a pretty good eater -- definitely has her favorite foods (bananas! she can woof down a banana faster than anyone!!) and loves milk (especially chocolate!) but there are foods she doesn't care for and won't touch (like green beans!).  Overall she's not too picky and will pretty much eat whatever is put in front of her.
  • Stopped nursing just after 13 months (my fault, I weaned her to go to Disney World! Sorry Annie!) but still enjoys some frozen mamas milk here and there too.  So glad we made it 13 strong months of nursing!!!
  • Big time thumb sucker just like her big brother and sister.  Only seems to do it when she's tired and at bed time...which is very much like Rosie.
  • Scooter LOVES her and she loves him, but I don't think as much as he loves her!  He always seems to be all over her and wanting to love up and kiss her and she tolerates it but he definitely is the one all about it!  Haha! She has no fear of him (or any animals!) because of it and it is the cutest thing EVER.
  • Is absolutely infatuated with her big brother and sister OH SO MUCH.  Seriously, she LOVES THEM and lights up like crazy whenever they come around!  It is the cutest thing EVER and I hope they always have this relationship.  Patrick and Rosie call her GooGoo or Googey and it is so darn cute and adorable!  Other people (even myself!) have taken to calling her that too and it's so darn cute.
  • Annie's whiny and clingy side comes out every now and again -- she loves to be held (and will just sit on your lap or cuddle with you forever it seems!) and sometimes she wants nothing to do with toys or anything and just wants to cuddle (and sometimes will whine and cry until she gets that!).  She is such a loving little lady and I do appreciate all of the snuggles she gives!
  • Definitely knows her name and even her nicknames, Annie banannie, GooGoo, Googey, Annie girl, and a few other ones I can't think of right now.
  • She has a very serious disposition and won't offer up smiles to or for just anyone -- she makes you work for them and earn them!  Haha!  (see above pic!!)  She is stone-faced and serious and definitely lets you know it...and it is kinda the cutest thing ever.  When she does crack a smile it makes your heart melt into a million pieces!!!  She really is the sweetest little thing.

Welp friends, that's all I've got for Annie girl at 15 months!  I'm sure I'll be reporting her walking all over the place by her 18 month post...I hope!  Haha! She seems to be following in her lazy older sister's (literal!) footsteps with that!

Oh Annie girl, we love you so much!  Our fam bam would not be the same without you!

I've Trained Her Well...

Okay, I just had to share these...watch in order (it's like 45 seconds total #superquick)...

I am so proud.

I have trained her so well.

It's like being proud that your dog actually fetched right for the first time...except it's your 3 year old kid retrieving a limearita (even the right color!) out of the fridge for you.

I am SO PROUD. SO PROUD.

Patrick is a whiz with this already, and now Ro has mastered it.  Next up: Annie banannie.  Let's get her walking first and then this skill is next 😂

Patrick's 5th Birthday Party

Oh what a fun birthday party our favorite Indiana Jones loving guy had today!

This kid is Indiana Jones obsessed so it was a no-brainer that we'd have an Indiana Jones birthday party!  And by that I mean I got him an Indiana Jones cake.  That's about it for the 'theme'. Ha

Truly, it was one of my favorite birthday parties to date.  We rented out one of our favorite local park pavilions and invited our family and a few friends and BAM!  Birthday party!  It was so chill and low-key and just PERFECT -- this is what I want all birthday parties to be!  Plus, my house didn't get destroyed and it wore the kids out so YES totally worth that $50 rental fee cause we so will be doing this again.

This was such a fun party -- the kids got to play, I snapped a few pics, we did dinner (pizza! so easy!), cake and presents, and BOOM!  A successful party!

I took so many pics.  I'm trying to share just the highlights with you :)

So Patrick absolutely LOVED his Indiana Jones cake. Like SO MUCH.  And so did I!  I love that he loves Indiana Jones SO MUCH and cannot wait for him to see his presents we got him (hint hint: Indiana Jones themed!) on his birthday on Wednesday!

Patrick had such a blast with his friends for his party -- so many buddies came out and it was just the greatest time EVER.

I'm sure there were some kids missing here but yes, lots of little friends!

He got some great presents -- an Alexa (Echo Dot) and Chicken Butt shirt from KiKi, Voltron toys from Lizzy, new shirts, nerf and squirt guns, legos, outdoor toys, and SO MUCH MORE!

He really has the best friends and family EVER!

Oh what a wonderful birthday this kid had -- and it's not even May 2nd yet!  I cannot wait to celebrate #5 with him in a few days and see what this year has in store for him!  He is my favorite biggest dude and I just have loved watching him grow up and learn new things each and every day.  Oh Patrick, what a cool, amazing, sweet, kind guy you are!  Keep doing you buddy, you're going places!

Some Rockin' Rice

I have discovered a new love and it's in the form of food.

Rosie echoes my sentiments -- this VeeTee rice is ahhhhhhmazing.

We absolutely love rice around here -- if you check out any of my recipes I've posted about before there are no shortage of dishes that include rice.  We usually use the rice cooker to make rice...but, not gonna lie, it takes for freaking ever.  But it's so good because it doesn't taste like instant rice either, so I deal with the 20+ minutes it takes to make a cup of white rice.

So I came across this rice (specifically this flavor) and oh my gosh YESSSS!! Instant-fast rice dish that tastes JUST like my rice cooker rice in 2 minutes!  I admit, I was skeptical at first, cause other instant rices seem to get mushy and icky in the microwave.  Not VeeTee rice.  This stuff is LEGIT.  It is so freaking fast and easy to make AND (best part!!) it tastes amazing.  Truly.

What's so awesome is that I can whip up a substantial dinner, like you see above, in less than 10 minutes.  We had air fried chicken, rice, cheese, and fruit (and salad for us adults) and start to finish it took me 10 minutes to make all of that!  I really love this rice SO MUCH.  It is the perfect side dish for all of our favorite Mooney meals (which mostly involve chicken, haha!) and usually two of the almost 10oz containers are plenty for our family of 5 for dinner.  And all of the rices are vegetarian and most are gluten free, for all of my dietary restriction buddies out there.  PLUS, you can stockpile this stuff and it's good on your pantry shelf for up to 12 months!!  WOOT!

Also, they have a TON of different flavor options (I'm so boring I just like the plain one! But Mike loves the fun flavored ones :) and you can mix-and-match flavors too to create your own six pack!  Best place to buy is through their website online and your rice gets delivered directly to your door.

Go order yourself some and let me know what you think!  Seriously, I am the biggest rice lover and this stuff takes the cake. It.is.so.good.  You won't be disappointed!  Promise!!

Wednesday Mumblings

I swear I start every post off lately with exclaiming how busy I've been!

But, thus is true -- so busy am I!

It seems that spring is in full swing and I am having busy flash-backs of my jam-packed snappin' fall all over again!  I don't think I have a free day in the next several weeks where I don't have a photo session (or sports practice!) scheduled.  INSANE!  But good, so so so good.

I had this adorable fam's pics today and then these twin's Fresh 48 NICU session...golly baby fever is now on overdrive! HAHA!

Speaking of spring, here's a gigantic photo dump of a bunch of springy pics from the past couple days that we've taken advantage of the warm weather and gotten outside for some fresh air and playtime!  I did take Patrick's 5 year pics today too but you'll have to wait until next week to see those :)

Aren't they a hoot?!?!  Annie's serious faces just KILL ME.

Speaking of that little turtle...

She'll be 15 months old on Monday and ^^^ that is about the extent of her walking.  Ha!  Slow and steady just like her big sister.  I thought she'd be walking by 15 months but no dice.  So maybe 18?!?!  Rosie was right at 17 so I'm sure Annie is on the same track as her.  Little tiny turtles I have!  So darn cute though :)

Patrick has been super into "trying new things" lately and it's awesome because yay for that and yay for him liking like 95% of the new things he tried, including chili nachos and chicken nachos (not pictured) earlier this week!  Woot!  This kid is growing up!

Oh, and yes, we went to his kindergarten orientation on Tuesday night and I CANNOT BELIEVE HE IS STARTING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN A FEW MONTHS!  And he'll be five next week too and I just cannot freaking BELIEVE IT! GAHHHHH! Someone hold me.

I'll leave you with these candid bathroom getting ready to go to bed snaps I took the other night.  Gosh I love lifestyle pics SO SO SO much, especially when my kiddos are involved!  Biased, so biased, I know. Sorry. #notreally

Okay friends, that's all I've got for tonight...super late blog postin' a'happenin' while I wait for these snappies I took earlier to finish exporting.  exciting life, huh?!?  Anyways, I hope you all have a great rest of your week...got lots of sessions and then Patrick's birthday party on Saturday! EEEKKKK! and GORGEOUS weather forecast too which always puts me in a good mood.  Anyways, adios friends!!
