39 weeks.

AHHHHH!  Today is THE DAY!  I figured I'd go ahead and publish this 39 week post bright and early because I'm officially 39 weeks today (gotta document!) and the blog from here on out will be filled with 3 Mooney minions instead of two, so getting this post in while I still can!

My c-section is scheduled for 10am today...Mike and I are dropping Patrick off at school and then heading to the hospital to meet this little kiddo!  To say I'm excited is an understatement -- I cannot flippin' wait.  I have his/her bag packed with cute little outfits and blankets and a few headbands (you know, in case my #teamgreen girl prediction is right) and other things.  EEKKKK!  Cannot wait!

So this past week I wrapped up school (on maternity leave until May!  WOOT!) a couple days early last Wednesday (just too much back and rib pain to get through the rest of the week, which was a good call on my part) and finished up a few housekeeping things at home to get ready for #3.  I think I was super excited and anxious all week long that that kept me busy and literally counting down the days until TODAY when we get to meet our new son our daughter!

I literally had 3 lists (one in my phone, one in my room, one in the kitchen) of all of the things I needed to get done before leaving for the hospital today.  I will say, that's the one nice part about having a scheduled c-section -- I can make sure I get everything done before we leave!  Stuff just like making sure Rosie's diapers are all washed, bedding and towels cleaned, fridge cleaned out, etc... I did schedule our cleaning lady to come on Friday so yay to coming home to a clean house on Saturday!

I had my very last OB appointment on Thursday and everything is looking good!  What's crazy is that my belly was measuring at 43+ weeks!  I looked back at my 39 week post with Rosie and at that point it was still measuring 41 weeks...with a heartrate in the 130s.  This kid's heartrate was 150 on Thursday!  I'm still most definitely thinking girl...and a big one (like 9+ pounds is my guess!) at that!  Other than that, we discussed the c-section procedure and all that jazz and then I made sure to preregister and such just to save us some time TODAY!

Here's a fun little bump growing video and collage for you from weeks 4 - 39 -- gosh, it totally has FLOWN BY!  I cannot believe it!

So!  That's about all I've got for this super early 39 week post!  I'm hoping my next post in the next day or so is #3's birth story...with oodles and oodles of pictures to spam you with.  Get excited...I know I sure am!   AHHHHHH!  Here's to being outnumbered and having 3 kiddos oh-so-soon!

Anticipating...

I KNOW for a fact last time when we were 2 days out from welcoming Rosie into our family I wasn't this giddy with anticipation.  I know I had a hard time sleeping the night before (duh) but not up until that point.  I don't know if it's a combo of can't get comfortable/I'm huge/having to pee ever 45 minutes plus the excitement/anticipation factor, but I literally have been getting crap sleep the past several days.  And I'm sure tonight and tomorrow won't be any better.  Oh well...bring on the sleepless nights, right?!!

Anyways, in my anticipating state, I've been trying to keep busy...taking random pics of my kiddos doing cute things always falls at the top of this :)  I have oodles of lists of things I need to do before Tuesday morning...but most of them can't be done until tomorrow (i.e. wash all of the bedding, towels, bathmats, etc...)...so, I decided to turn to my blog this morning to pass some time and cause the kiddos are still snoozing and it's almost 9am!

However, I think ^^^ has a large part to do with while they're still zonked out -- we got new black out curtains for Patrick's window (that the sun blasts through every morning) and he's usually up by 7:30 or 8am at the latest, but NOT TODAY!  WOOOOOOT!  Rosie usually sleeps till 9ish (if Patrick is gone or doesn't wake her up), so we're trying to get them kinda on the same sleep schedule to make it a bit easier on us when #3 arrives (and hopefully not have crazy early mornings with all 3 of them).

This week was exciting for this guy cause he found out he was on the cover of our local parks and rec guide (which I already posted about here) -- but I wanted to share his excited face for you holding "his" magazine.

On Friday my mom and I took the kiddos to see "Sing" (super cute, by the way!) and we had the theater to ourselves!  It was a really good movie and both kids sat through the entire thing and hardly made a peep!  I love taking them to the movies knowing we can actually relax and watch a movie -- as long as they're loaded up with popcorn and a drink they're happy campers.

In my anticipation mode I did strike some of my things off of my list -- cleaning all of the bottles and pump parts being one of them!  I got a new pump this go'round so I'm excited to see how it compares to my Medela one I've been using for the past 2 kiddos.

Again!  The theme these past few days has been KEEPING BUSY -- so I was happy to get Patrick's Valentines done for his classmates (since his party is on 2/9 I believe) so I didn't have to mess with that when I'm recovering.  He loves his cards (as do I) -- but I can't take full credit, I stole the idea from Pinterest!

It still boggles my mind that I have a girl, nonetheless a GIRLY girl who loves accessorizing with bows, having her hair done, nails painted, and picking out her shoes.  I'm trying to embrace this as much as possible because she loves it so and it's good for me, who's definitely not a girly girl, to broaden my horizons with my daughter.

Yesterday we had a fun little family day -- Mike had to work last night but had been off for several days so we tried to keep busy (sensing a theme here?! Busy = pass the time!) -- we hit up the pool Friday night (and Rosie has my new favorite swimsuit!) with the aunts, uncles, and cousins, then had brunch with Matt, Katie, and Lizzy Saturday morning before having a rare family shopping trip to Target (to get those black out curtains!) before attempting to see Goose (who was out and about for the day so we missed her and instead to a family selfie!), and then hitting up MOD pizza (our new favorite joint) for dinner with my parents before calling it a night.

Today we have absolutely nothing on the agenda since Mike worked all night so we're going to let him snooze the day away.  I'm going to take the kiddos to my parents to play so he doesn't hear us then we're going to the Mooneys for dinner tonight -- tomorrow is crunch time when I'll be a mad woman getting everything I can prepped and cleaned before we head out Tuesday.  That's the one nice perk about having a scheduled c-section -- I know the date and time this kid is coming so this planner can prep away!

I'll conclude this post with a pic of Scoots in #3's hoodie jumper...you know, to help pass the time I've been putting him in #3's clothes to "break them in" before he/she arrives.

Have a good Sunday friends!

This & That

Since we're in the oh-so-close single days countdown to #3's arrival, I've been trying to keep my mind busy and occupied!  Ha, easier said than done, right?!

I waved my white flag two days early and decided to call yesterday my last day at work -- my back and ribs were just killing me too much that I thought I'd spend the next couple days relaxing and on the couch as much as possible and try NOT to over exert myself.  Ha.  TRY is the keyword there friends.

I thought to help keep myself occupied (and on the couch!) I'd do a little random this and that tid bit post about the past several days...you know, to keep myself busy :)

Just had to toss in a pic of my Canon fleet of full frame cameras.  Gosh I love them so!  I have ONE last photoshoot this weekend before #3 comes, and I'm excited to use my new camera for that and then unload it a ton on #3 in his/her pics oh-so-soon!!  My brother will be breaking it in as well on Tuesday snapping my c-section as well.  That'll be a whole 'nother post in itself -- PG rated, I promise :)

Tuesday was my mom's 61st birthday (last year we threw her a huge surprise 60th birthday fiesta) and we kept it low-key with having family over to our house for tacos and homemade cupcakes and cookies.  Patrick wore his taco Tuesday shirt (appropriate, since her birthday was on Tuesday as well) all day too to celebrate.

Patrick donned his chef's hat and apron to help me make the cupcakes -- he did almost everything to make them!  I love how much of a helper he is.

We had a great time at my mom's party and it was so great to have our family over to our house (Patrick loved playing with his cousin Landon!) and got to have a bit of chill social time with the adults too while the kiddos played.

Patrick lately has become OBSESSED with Transformers.  He got a few for Christmas, and has recently discovered Netflix on his iPad and found some cartoon Transformer videos on there as well.  He really loves playing with them and I love his little imagination with hearing what he says with his play.  He *may* be getting a new Transformer as a gift from his new little brother or sister on Tuesday too...shhhh! Don't tell him :)

My friend Sarah and sister in law Katie had a girls pedi-dinner night last night and it was SO fun to get to chit chat with them and relax -- cause all of us are expecting kiddos soon!  Sarah most likely next week will welcome her second little lady, I'll welcome #3 on Tuesday, and Katie will meet her twin boys in April!  EEKKKK! So many babies!

I'm seriously obsessed with these hoodie jumpers from June & January and am SO GLAD they have them in Ro's size now!  She may have a few and wears them ALL of the time.  And #3 has some too so I cannot wait for them to be matchy matchers SOON!

This kiddo hit it big time -- he made the cover of our parks and rec department's summer event catalog!  How sweet is that?!  And his shirt he's sportin' in the top pic is from Mitz Accessories -- along with June & January they're my favorite kiddo clothes!

Okay!  That's about all I've got for this all over post.  Here's a cute little snap of Rosie clutching (and she wouldn't let them go.at.all. our entire trip) some lovely lady items on our recent Tarjay trip.  Hehehe!

Have a great one friends!

38 weeks.

You.guys.  ONE WEEK LEFT!  OMG, I cannot freaking believe it!  Seriously, it feels like it was just May 31st yesterday and I shocked myself finding out I was pregnant and now BAM.  We're within a week of welcoming this kid!  EEKKKKK!

So last week I had my 37 week OB appointment...and all is lookin' good with #3!  My OB actually got called into a delivery so it was the fastest appointment EVER.  Heartrate was in the high 150s, I was measuring 4 weeks ahead still at 41 weeks, and everything else looked good!  I seriously cannot believe I have ONE appointment left this week on Thursday and then a week from today we'll be welcoming #3 into our family.  Seriously.  CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

So I have to make note that at 37w3d my wedding rings were just too tight (probably cause it's been freaking warm here and I'm already always so hot in general...) so they've officially been retired till post baby.  I have my nice little band on Mike got me (that I was wearing at like 25 weeks with Patrick!) until my wedding rings fit again, which I'm hoping is a week or so after #3 comes (they fit back on pretty quickly after Rosie) -- I love my rings and miss having them on my finger!

Here's a lovely litlte comparison snap for you: 37w5d with Rosie on the left, 37w5d with #3 on the right!  Gosh this kid feels like a monster compared to what Rosie was at this point -- no wonder my ribs and back have been bothering me so much!  I'm guessing this kid will be around the 9lb mark or so...

Other than that, nothing else really to report at 38 weeks!  My back has been killing me the past week (still upper back, by my shoulders) -- even when I sleep now, so I know this kid is growing and getting bigger and bigger in there.  I am so curious to see how big he/she is in a WEEK!! EEEKKK!

So a nice and semi-short and sweet post for you today at 38 weeks...I'll have ONE LAST POST at officially 39 weeks next Tuesday morning nice and early before we depart for the hospital to meet this kiddo.  I cannot wait!  EEKKKK!  Until week 39 friends, adios!

Ball Pit Fun

Another fun-filled day around the Mooney casa, let me tell ya!  So the forecast had it raining all day long.  Guess what it didn't do?! RAIN! But it was gloomy and kinda chilly so we hung out inside -- the kids were actually little gems this morning while Mike slept and I was able to get some housekeeping stuff done (read: clean the 3 freezers, fridge, and pantry out for old/expired food, get the dishes and laundry done, and grade my students' projects that were due on Friday. woot!).

We did play down in the basement for a bit (Patrick and Ro's favorite!) and I decided to grab my brand spankin' new camera and snap some ball pit fun pics of the burritos.

Our lighting sucks in our basement, but I was really happy with how these snaps turned out with new camera despite the less than adequate lighting.  I didn't bring my speedlite with me because I wanted to see how this bad boy did with the low light -- and it sure didn't disappoint!  I really REALLY love this new camera and can't wait to see all that I'm going to snap with it in 2017.

Patrick ventured off to his vacation home for the night but before he left he and Ro had lunch, and today for both breakfast and lunch they've boycotted sitting at their little table and wanting to sit at the big table instead!  Gahhhh!  Why do they grow up so fast?!

After I made a mad-dash to the grocery store during nap time, before Rosie got up Mike and I reconfigured the car with THREE carseats...we are officially ready for #'3's arrival (and can safely transport him/her along with his/her older brother and sister in one car! WOOT!)...which I cannot believe is in 9 days.  OMG.

We then went to our Sunday night dinner spot at the Mooneys and all of the Mooney gals decided to wear our matching leggings!  How fun is that?!  Now the Pepin gals and Mooney gals all have matching leggings!  SO MUCH FUN.

So that's about all I've got for this Sunday -- we have a busy week this week (which I'm glad -- keep us busy otherwise I'll spend it thinking about #3's arrival and all of these things!!) with hosting my mom's 61st birthday dinner, a girls' pedi dinner date for me, dinner at a friend's house, a couple photo shoots for me, and then BAM.  The 31st will be here before we know it! EEKKKK!

Anyways, that's all I've got -- have a great week friends!
