Annie at 5 Months

Our sweet little Annie girl is FIVE whole months old today!  I cannot believe it -- and I cannot believe I only have one more month off before I go back to work August 1st! EEKKK!  When Annie turns half a year I'll be back workin' with no more maternity leave in sight or vacation until Christmas.  UGH.  But!  Let's not think about that and think about how adorable Annie is at 5 months old!

Still our little peanut :) -- so much smaller at 5 months than her big siblings and I kinda love it; we're getting so much wear and use out of clothes!

Annie turned 21 weeks old this past Tuesday and is still going so strong in her 52 weeks of June & January outfit pics too. Woot!  And I sooooo loved her #tbt snaps from week 20 too.

Annie doesn't go back to the doc until 6 months, so you are left with my mom stats until we head back to the doc for her next checkup.  Lucky you!

  • Annie weighs 16 pounds and 6 ounces -- up about a pound and a half since 4 months old!  She recently moved up to 9 month clothes because her 6 month ones were a bit snug.  She still fits into 0/6 June & January clothes though since a lot of those tend to run big.
  • SHE ROLLED OVER!  Since she's a little peanut I think she has an easier time moving that her big (literally!) sister did at this age.  She still prefers her back and likes to flop over from her belly onto her back whenever she can.  However, she will roll over from back to belly as well too so she is sort of? on the move!  I bet she'll really be rolling all over the place in no time.
  • An incredible sleeper still -- I've yet to have a kid experience this '4 month sleep regression' and Annie is still snoozing about 13+ hours a night.  She goes down around 7:30/8pm and sleeps until 8:30/9am the next morning.  I usually don't hear a peep out of her and I go in and wake her up cause we have stuff to lord knows how long she'd actually sleep for!
  • She takes one nap a day, usually in the 3ish hour (give or take an hour) range.  She typically goes down for her afternoon siesta around 12:30/1pm and sleeps until 3:30/4pm.  She is a happy little lady and goes down wide awake at both nap and bed time and does so without a peep, and wakes up super happy and chatty!
  • We ditched the cloth diapers for overnight -- they were working okay but she'd still be wet on her back a bit and that was annoying, so we sized up to size 3 disposables for overnight and yay for that cause not one leak (even in 13+ hours of wear) she's had thus far!  She still wears size 1 Applecheeks cloth diapers during the day though and she's still got some room left in those.
  • LOVES to giggle and smile, especially at her big brother and sister!  Her little giggle is the cutest thing ever and it makes my heart happy to hear!
  • Still just eats breastmilk...we'll start THINKING about introducing solids in another month, but we waited so long with Rosie and that worked out I'm hoping to do the same with Annie!  Since I've been home she just nurses all day long, but if I'm gone or Mike had I have a rare night out she usually takes between 6-9 ounces in one sitting.  Girlfriend likes to eat!
  • Is 100% a third child -- she has been our easiest baby yet; is so easy-going, happy, and just chill and go with the flow all of the time.  It's kind of awesome :)
  • Very much still a thumb sucker (especially when she's tired) and I don't think that's going to be stopping any time soon!
  • No teeth just yet...both of the older two got teeth right before they turned 6 months old, so we'll see if Annie follows suit and gets some toothies this month too!
  • Still holds her head up really well and I've been practicing sitting up with her (on the ground and holding her back) too -- both of the other kids were sitting up on their own by 6 months so I'm hoping Annie is close to doing that too (cause I LOVE that stage where they can sit up but aren't moving all over yet! -- plus it's better for pictures too!).
  • Likes to be worn in the Tula or ring sling and is happy as a little clam in there.  Usually falls asleep when she's being worn and likes to suck on the straps of the Tula.
  • Has gone 'swimming' several times and seems to like it!  She loves bath time and splashing and kicking so it's no surprise she likes the pool too.
Now your {my} favorites: comparison snaps!

And here's Annie from just hatched through 5 months old...

Welp folks, that's about all I've got for miss Annie at 5 months old!  I cannot believe how fast time is flyin' and when I'm blogging about her 6 month post I'll be getting ready to go back to school! WAHHH!  Time, why must you go by so quickly?!  Anyways, until month 6 friends, adios!

MOT Tuesday

Ahhhh, what a fun morning we had at the Museum of Transportation!  We were going to go to the pool, however, when we woke up it was only 65 degrees outside and we thought that was going to be a little too chilly for the pool so we decided to go to the MOT instead!  We hadn't been in a while so the kids were excited and ready to ride the train and see all of the cars and trains they had on display too!

Oh, and did I mention Mike is off until next Tuesday?!! He's on vacay!  We are SO EXCITED to have him home with us this week and weekend.  Lots of fun activities are gonna be happenin' and coming your way! WOOT!

Before we left I snapped a pic of all of the kids in their June & January freaking cute are they?!

Oh and Annie is 21 weeks old today (she'll be 5 months old on Friday!) and a year ago today we saw her on the ultrasound for the first time too at 7 weeks so I had to do a 7 weeks 6/27/16 pic vs. 21 weeks 6/27/17 pic comparison for ya too :)

Okay!  So!  Off to the museum we went!  First off, let me add a disclaimer: we took a LOT of pictures at the museum and a LOT on the tracks. I NEVER do train track pictures (if any client requests it) because it's dangerous and illegal.  However, we were at a museum in these pics on NON-ACTIVE tracks and it was 100% okay to take pics on them and walk on them.  I feel like I have to post this disclaimer any time I post these track pics FROM THE MUSEUM letting people know that it was okay and safe and totally acceptable to do.

First thing we did once we got there was ride the train -- instant happiness for all of the kids, Annie included as she was snug as a bug in a rug in the Tula.  I was actually shocked we got a semi-decent family selfie on the train!  WOOT!

I snapped just a handful of pics of Annie today since she was all cozy on Mike in the Tula so I'm dumping them on you here now because the rest of the pics Patrick pretty much took over :)

Patrick got to yell "ALL ABOARD!!" during our first train ride and he was SO EXCITED and loved it SO MUCH.

After we rode the train a couple times we went up top and went to find Mike's favorite train, the Big Boy, and check out all of the other trains they had there too.  Patrick was in his element and honestly was so excited to see all of the trains and running all over the place we kept telling him to slow down and wait for us which he LOVED hearing.  Just kidding.

I was shocked I even got these snaps with how fast he was running!  Haha!  But I love how vintage-y they look and how much fun you can tell he was having at the Museum.

Patrick (and Mike's too!) favorite part today was the Big Boy.  He kept wanting to run up in it and play with all of the controls and poke his head out of the window.  It was the cutest thing ever.  Once Rosie got over her fear of heights and sensory issues with the metal grate floors, she had a blast playing up in the conductor's cabin too!

We then toured a few more train cars (well, Patrick raced through them, Mike and I tried to tour and walk through but easier said than done with 3 kids 4 and under! haha!) before we went inside to see the cars.

We saw a Mustang and Mike wanted to snap a pic to send to Kate of the kids in front of it and OMG.  I.was.dying.  Look at their poses, especially Rosie!  I couldn't stop laughing.  So much sass in that little girl.  I can't handle it!!!

We decided to head back and ride the train one more time before we headed home for lunch and siestas.

Patrick got to ride the pedal cars before we left and he LOVED that -- he was much better at driving them than a year ago when he last tried.  Funny how much difference a year can make, huh?!

Anyways, we had a wonderful morning -- the weather was AMAZING, the kids were relatively well-behaved, and I am so happy I brought my big camera to capture our day.  We loooooove having Mike home and awake during the day to go do fun adventures with we're hopefully gonna have oodles of more fun this week taking advantage of him being home!  That's all I've got for today friends...have a good one!!

Picture Perfect Sunday

Today was perfect in more ways than one.  First, let's talk about the weather: it didn't get above 80 degrees today and had ZERO humidity and it was just amazingggggg.  So so so nice.  In addition to that, we got a ton of outside playtime which the kids loved and totally wore them out which made for super easy nap and bedtimes.  I also had my camera out a few times today to snap snap snap some pics of the kiddos so that made for a great day too!  The only thing that would have made it better would have been if Mike were off, but, alas, he was not and was snoozing all day cause he worked last night.

The big kids favorite thing to do as of late is to wake Annie up.  And yes, literally go in and WAKE HER UP.  I try and hold them off till at least 8:30 or 9am, but somedays they just storm her room before I can hold them off anymore.  It really is adorable.

This morning grabbed my camera for their wake-up crew antics and snapped a few pics and it was really the sweetest little thing ever.  Both of the climbed right in her bed and couldn't stop lovin' up on their little sissy.  I really love so much the way they love her!

How freaking adorable is this?!  Rosie feeding her baby.  She sees it enough to replicate it it seems...both bottle and boob!  I thought this was the cutest thing ever so naturally I had to snap a few pics!  Biased, but so damn cute, amiright?!

Patrick and Rosie then sent ^^^ this video to uncle Brian asking if he'd like to join us at the park...and he said he'd meet us there!  Needless to say the kids were ecstatic.

However, before we left we got into our favorite Mitz outfits and snapped some pics in the backyard...

I mean, how freaking cute are they?!!  I loooooove those rainbow cloud shirts the girls had one (they have little clouds on the back too!) and I'm debating going back and ordering Patrick one!  Plus, they pair oh-so-nicely with our June & January clothes.  Win win.

I really REALLY tried hard to get game face up there to smile for a car snap before we left for the park but she wasn't having it.  Typical.  Her cute little sunglassed face with the little smirk killllls me.

Shocker I didn't take many pictures at the park -- the kids were running around like crazies having oh-so-much fun with uncle Brian.  Annie and I enjoyed the peace and quiet for a bit and chilled on a bench in the shade enjoying the weather.

We then headed home for lunch and siestas where EVERYONE fell asleep, including myself for maybe 30 minutes!  Woot!  What a Sunday, huh?!

Anyways, once everyone got up we headed over to the Mooneys for Sunday dinner and it was just gorgeousssss out.  We were outside the entire time (minus a diaper change for Annie where she rolled over back to belly for the first time! WOOT!!!) and if we could bottle up the weather today and transplant it to every day it'd be wonderful.  Like Hawaii weather!

We really had a great Sunday evening -- I got TWO selfie requests from Rosie and Lizzy so yay on that little treat, cause I'm always the one snappin' the pics so it's nice to toss in a pic of me every once in a while, even if it's a selfie, right?

Anywho, what a wonderful Sunday it was!  I just hope every other day this summer is as wonderful as today was!  Trying to savor these days until school starts back up...gah, Alex!  Don't go there yet!  Summer forever, amiright?! :)  Have a great week friends!
